Energy efficiency is the workhorse of the clean energy world. Though solar and other renewable energy technologies usually take the spotlight, energy efficiency often works quietly in the background, making huge strides in lowering emissions without the fanfare. To make awareness of global warming, climate change and promotes efforts towards saving energy resources among budding electrical and mechanical engineers, the GITM Innovation Cell, Goel Institute of Technology and Management, Lucknow in collaboration with Training & Placement Cell, GITM organized a one day Institutional Training program to celebrate “National Energy Conservation day” on 14th December, 2021.

The Institutional Training Program was conducted by expert Shri Girish Kumar, Senior Energy Consultant, UPNEDA( Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development Agency), Lucknow on the topic “ Energy Conservation”. Initially the expert highlights the importance, necessity and achievements of India in the field of energy efficiency and reduction of power consumption. The training session was made very participative by giving chance to students to share their knowledge about environmental issues and use of non-renewable energy resources so that the problem ahead can be reduced.
