The GITM Innovation Cell has been formed under National Start-up and Innovation Policy (NISP) campaign, Ministry of Education, Government of India & AICTE in the IIC calendar year 2020-21. It’s an emergence of entrepreneurial activity within campus under the guidelines of NISP and UP state start-up policies. The main aim of GITM Innovation Cell is to create vibrant local innovation ecosystem for supporting start-up/entrepreneurial mechanism within institute, scouting and pre-incubation of ideas and developing better cognitive ability amongst technology students.

Functions of Innovation Cell:

  • To promote innovations in multifarious modes and lead towards innovation promotion eco-system within campus.

  • To conduct various innovation and entrepreneurship related activities prescribed by central MIC in time bound fashion.

  • To create a mentor pool for student innovators by organizing periodic industrial visits/workshops/seminars/interactions with entrepreneurs, investors and expert professionals.

  • To develop network with peers and national entrepreneurship/start-up development organizations.

  • To create an institution’s Innovation portal to highlight innovative projects carried out by institution’s faculty and students.

  • To organize Hackathons, idea competition, mini-challenges etc. with the involvement of industry.

 

Frequency of Meeting:

The GITM Innovation Cell conducts meeting quarterly in a year and as per requirement of Innovation Cell.

Attendance in the meeting:

Around 80 to 90 percent of committee members are always present in the meeting.
