Department of Biotechnology Engineering, GITM and Goel institute of Pharmacy & Sciences (GIPS) in collaboration with National Service Scheme (NSS) along with GITM & GIPS innovation cell commemorates World AIDS Day on 1st December 2022 to show support for the people who are infected with HIV & to give tribute to AIDS patients by organizing two different events.
1). Community Visit to spread HIV-AIDS awareness in the nearby village Bhulbhulpur, Barabanki to educate and create awareness against HIV-AIDS. Around 120 students participated in the event along with faculty members. Students also performed “NUKKAD NATAK” to motivate localites regarding this life threatening disease. Students and faculty members also educate villagers regarding the various preventive measures that can be taken to safeguard themselves from this deadly virus.
2). Expert Lecture on HIV-AIDS to create awareness among students and enhance their knowledge about HIV-AIDS by Dr. Priyanka Rai and Dr. Gaurav Sinha from Goel Ayurvedic Medical College & Hospital. Ms. Kanchan Bhatt initiated the event by welcoming the guests. Dr. Rishi Asthana, Director GITM welcomed the experts by giving token of gratitude and also appreciated students for performing such social event. He further urged students to keep conducting such events which will further contribute in the upliftment of the society. At Last Mr. Ahsan Masood HoD, Department of Biotechnology ended the event with a thanking note and by giving our guests letter of appreciation.
