The contribution to the overall carbon footprint increases the Global warming and Greenhouse effect on the planet, seeing this as the need of the hour, the student chapter of IGBC and department of Civil Engineering, GITM organized a webinar on “Role of Glass in the Achievement of Net-zero Goals” on Friday, 4 march 2022 between 1200 – 1300 hrs. With principles of energy-saving as its core, net zero design naturally lends itself to the use of glass. As one of the most versatile building materials available, glass is tough, durable and weather resistant. Increasing the heat value of natural light, glass helps to keep the building warm. Students and faculty found this webinar very informative. Such webinars and sessions always bring out the innovative ideas from the students and faculty.
