The Innovation Cell at Goel Institute of Technology and Management, Lucknow, participated in the online event ‘Orientation cum Refreshers’ Session on Institution’s Innovation Council Objectives, Structure, Operation for IIC Institutions’ on 5th August 2024. This event was organized by the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell and AICTE. The session was led by Mr. Dipan Sahu, Assistant Innovation Director, Ministry of Education Innovation Cell. More than 100 students with faculty members understood the objectives, structure, and operations of Institutional Innovation Council (IIC) in a comprehensive way.
Overall, the sessions reinforced the significance of the IIC in advancing the innovation ecosystem in India, aligning with national policies such as the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and the National Innovation and Startup Policy (NISP) 2019. By enhancing understanding, addressing challenges, and familiarizing participants with essential tools, these sessions have laid a strong foundation for the continued growth and success of IICs across the country, ultimately contributing to a vibrant and robust innovation landscape.
