Department of Applied Sciences and Humanities, GITM along with the Innovation Cell, GITM organized a sequence of diversified science contests based on the theme “Innovative Approach in Science and Technology for Sustainable Future” like Online Quiz Contest, Debate Competition, Science Exhibition and Origami & Poster Competitions & etc., and one plenary talk by Dr. Priyanka Jaiswal – Innovation Ambassador & Convener, Innovation Cell, GITM on the occasion of National Science Day on 28th February 2022. The programs were conducted special for all 1st/2nd year B. Tech. students with an aim to improve thinking ability and awareness program among students towards building a society of peace and harmony through innovative ideas of science and technology for a better future.
A total no. of 136 students had registered and participated in the science competitions. Among 136 participants, 54 were registered in the Online Science Quiz Competition, 30 participants were registered in Debate Competition (on the topics: All cars should be electric; Are robots going to increase our quality of life?; Artificial intelligence is dangerous; Is tech going to save the world… or kill it?; Online schooling is the way of the future; Is tech the opposite of nature?), 31 were registered for Science Exhibition and 21 were registered for Origami & Poster Competitions & etc. Certificates were given by the dignitaries to winners who participated in different events. The Programme was conducted successfully under the leadership of Convener Dr Atul Kumar – HOD-AS&H along with all Faculty Coordinators and Students Volunteers of GITM innovation cell.
