Department of Biotechnology Engineering in association with the Innovation cell along with the Training & Placement cell, GITM organized an industrial visit on 13.02.2023 to MRD Lifesciences Pvt. Ltd., Lucknow for B.Tech Biotechnology 2nd Year & 3rd Year students to offer an opportunity to experience the exclusive high-tech machinery, workstations, systems, plants, processes utilized in biotechnology industries. MRD Lifesciences is an innovative life science research-based organization that provides a backbone to biological research for proper utilization of the advancements in the field of biological sciences. A batch of 40 students along with faculty coordinators Ms. Kanchan Bhatt and Ms. Surya Mishra visited the laboratory. Research Associate, Mr. Raj Mishra welcomed the students and faculty members. Further, the students were divided into 2 groups where Mr. Chitranshu Pandey, Research Scientist, demonstrated them the principle and working procedure of different highend instruments like- Realtime PCR, HPLC, Bioreactor etc. At last Mr. Manoj Verma, Director MRD Lifesciences interacted with the students and gave a brief introduction about his labs and motivated them for idea generation as well as for innovative research. He also asked students various questions related to the field of biotechnology and conducted a quiz competition for the students in which students participated with great zeal and enthusiasm. Ms. Kanchan Bhatt (Innovation Ambassador & Assistant Professor Biotechnology) thanked the Scientists and faculty members for giving their valuable time and making this visit a successful one.
