The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, GITM conducted a field visit to NTPC – Bilhour Super Thermal Power Plant on 2nd December, 2022 in association with Training and Placement Cell, GITM under the banner of Innovation Cell, GITM. The more than 50 students of Electrical Engineering and Electronics & Communication Engineering understood the generation of power using solar thermal energy and functioning of plant, including safety features, environmental hazards and their management with full enthusiasm. This field visit will be useful for students to think towards innovative ideas related to renewable energy resources and Projects taken by them in curriculum in future.
