Goel Institute of Technology & Management, Lucknow, GITM Innovation Cell Along with Department of Computer science and Engineering and Training & Placement organized Field visit for B.Tech (CSE/IT) 4th year students to TCS, Vibhuti Khand, Gomti Nagar, Lucknow on December 02, 2022 . TCS Coordinator for visit: Mr. Abhishek Saxena(Academic Relationship Manager in TCS) Faculty Coordinator:Mr. Nitin Kumar Rao (Assistant Professor, CSE) The visit was a part of their industrial visit program which was arranged by college as a part of the Industrial Exposure Program. The students were welcomed by Mr. Abhishek Saxena Mr. Abhishek Saxena gave a brief introduction about TCS. He narrated briefly how TCS was born and today where it stands in the industry. He gave information about TCS governing body right from Chief Executive Officer till Chairman. TCS is a MNC spread across 46 countries, and over 300,000 of the world’s best-trained IT consultants. He explained about values of TCS like Leading change, Integrity, respect for Individual, Excellence, Learning and Sharing. He also told about the recruitment system of TCS and their expectations from the candidates whom they wanted to recruit.He also explained about sectors in which TCS is providing services ranging from Assurance services, BI & Performance Management, Business Process Services, Consulting, Enterprise Solutions, SAP Solutions, IT Infrastructure Services, ION Small and Medium Business etc. He also explained how TCS has made itself in all walks of service providing and consultancy. The Main objective behind the visit was to make student aware about how an Software company works, Services available, Job Opportunities, Information Resource Center (IRC) Function Industrial visit to TCS was a huge success which was full of knowledge. Students got to know the working methodology of a MNC company, got to know how the people are working. Students got industrial exposure on this trip. All agreed that such trips must be organized more frequently in future.
