The Innovation Cell, Goel Institute of Technology and Management ( GITM) , Lucknow organized an Exposure Visit, ‘An Entrepreneurial Event-E SUMMIT 2022’ at IIT –Kanpur for the students of Student Club- Innovation Cell, GITM from 13-15th January, 2023. This 11th Edition of an entrepreneurial event was inaugurated by Prof. Abhay Karandikar, Director-IIT Kanpur who highlighted institute’s entrepreneurial journey and significance of the event. The Event comprised Keynote address by Chief Guest Shri BVR Mohan Reddy, Founder Chairman & Board Member- Cyient and Former Chairman-NASSCOM; Panel Discussion on “The Decade of Avant-Garde Innovation” with Mr. Rajiv Batra, Founder Palo Alto Networks, Mr. Sanjiv Rangrass, Independent Director Zetwerk& former Group Head, ITC and Mr. Ravi Purohit, Vice President & India Head at Color Tokens as the chair for the session.
The Entrepreneurial event was followed by keynote address on ‘Renaissance of Tech Rise of Metaverse’ by Ms. Shweta Bajpai, Vertical Head – Finserv, Media, Travel, Meta India. As a part of the event Startup Expo was organized, where several startups from diverse areas showcased their next-gen products.
On the final day, grand finale of the UpStart business model competition was organized where the selected startups showcased their innovative ideas. For the closing Ceremony, Former Co-founder & MD of BharatPe, Mr. Ashneer Grover interacted with the students. The Summit saw the brightest minds competing against each other to prove their mettle and learn ways to secure funding opportunities.
