Hostel and Mess Committee is responsible for the smooth functioning of the hostel and mess facilities at Goel Campus under the supervision of the nominated committee Chairman. The Hostel and Mess Committee (HMC) at Goel Campus, is a management-run body which constitutes of members from of the institute. It is responsible for managing the food and hostel infrastructure. We believe that our hostel & mess should be a ‘Home away from Home’ for all students and thus strive to improve various aspects related to food so hostel issues are resolved at the earliest. The hostel and Mess committee is constituted by the following members for the session 2023-24.
Roles and responsibilities:
(i) Acts as a bridge between the administration, caterers, hostel authorities on one side and the students on the other.
(ii) Facilitates the grievance redressal of students and communicates the same to the concerned authorities.
(iii) Keeps a check on the daily issues regarding the hostel infrastructure, the housekeeping issues, mess facilities, etc.
(iv) Ensures an enriching stay at the campus.
(v) Organizes fun-packed events and food-carnivals.
(vi) Coordinates with other clubs and committees for the successful conduct of various events.
Functions:
(i) To create overall disciplined environment in hostel
(ii) To provide the platform for students so that they can showcase their talent.
(iii) To provide them infrastructure conducive for their growth
(iv) To provide amenities for their recreation and past time.
(v) To organize various cultural and sports events in the hostel to bring out creative abilities of students.
(vi) To create an environment so that feeling of home sickness is not there amongst the students.
(vii) To provide good healthy and hygienic food.
(viii) It is designed to serve the interests of the student’s community in competitive cultural field and provide an ambience for their overall wholesome personality development.
Responsibilities:
(I) The committee shall create a positive ambience in hostels.
(II) Promoting team spirit and co-operation amongst the students by creating healthy competition.
(III)Motivating students to join gym and other sports activities along with cultural activities…
(IV)To arrange for better platform where they can exhibit their skills.
(V)Proper maintenance of hostel and mess and to have a check on quality of food.
Frequency of Meeting:
The Hostel &Mess Committeeconducts meeting twice in a semester , and schedule additional meetings as per the requirement of institute.
