4-Star Accreditation for Innovation & Entrepreneurship 2023-24
The Innovation Cell at Goel Institute of Technology and Management (GITM), Lucknow, has achieved a 4-star rating in IIC 6.0 (Session 2023-24), awarded by the Innovation Cell, Ministry of Education, Government of India. This recognition highlights the institute’s outstanding contributions to innovation and entrepreneurship (I&E) among students and faculty members.
GITM has developed a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem, producing young startup founders and supporting students in transforming ideas into impactful ventures. The institute provides mentorship, incubation support, and hands-on training, ensuring students gain real-world experience in innovation and research.
Students from GITM have excelled in prestigious national competitions, including the Yukti Innovation Challenge and the Smart India Hackathon, organized by the Ministry of Education, Government of India. Additionally, GITM has extended its mentorship beyond the campus, supporting IIC institutes of Higher Educational Institutions and ATL schools in innovation-driven activities.
Notably, GITM represented its Innovation Cell as a Mentor Institute at the IIC Regional Meet 2024, held at Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, and secured First Position in the IIC Poster Presentation, organized by MoE’s Innovation Cell & AICTE.

The Innovation Cell at Goel Institute of Technology and Management (GITM), Lucknow, has been positioned in the band of 51-100 in the Innovation Category for the session 2023-24. This achievement further solidifies GITM’s reputation as a leading institution dedicated to technological advancement, startup ecosystem development, and impactful innovation-driven education.
4- Star Accreditation for Innovation & Entrepreneurship 2022-23
The Innovation Cell, Ministry of Education, Government of India, granted the Goel Institute of Technology and Management (GITM), Lucknow, a 4-star rating in IIC 5.0 (Session 2022-23). This honor was given in recognition of the institute’s outstanding work encouraging academics and students to pursue innovation and entrepreneurship (I&E). By offering mentorship, incubation support, and practical training, the institute gave students real-world experience in research and innovation. To further support the innovation environment, GITM also expanded its mentorship to ATL schools.

3.5 – Star Accreditation for Innovation & Entrepreneurship 2020-21
In its first year of establishment, the Institute Innovation Council (IIC) at GITM, Lucknow, received a 3.5-star rating in IIC 3.0 (Session 2020-21) from the Innovation Cell, Ministry of Education, for excellence in innovation and entrepreneurship (I&E) activities, fostering startup founders, innovation ambassadors, incubation support, and mentorship for young innovators.
