The GITM Innovation Cell, Goel Institute of Technology and Management, Lucknow organized an Internal Hackathon for students, on 12th and 13th September-2024, to harness the innovative brilliance and develop products for solving some of the challenges which we face in our daily lives. This competition is in the context of ‘SMART INDIA HACKATHON-2024’, a unique initiative taken by MHRD Innovation Cell and AICTE, to engage engineering college students to solve problems of ministries/ industries by identifying new technological innovations for making smart India. The problem statements are posed to technology students for innovative solutions.
There were 50 teams were participated for this competition with 30 teams in hardware category and 12 teams in software category. From which finally 32 teams were selected by jury members after rigorous evaluation with 19 teams in hardware category and 12 teams in software category.
The students have submitted their ideas and prototypes under the mentorship of faculty members and Innovation Ambassadors-IIC GITM. After final selection in’ Smart India Hackathon-2024’ the students will be allowed to develop the product further by ministries. By this initiative the students will get experience and hands-on experience while the government gets problems solved through technology free of cost.
In Internal Hackathon, a set of eminent juries were present for mentoring and evaluating the teams on the parameters like novelty, research work, practicability, feasibility, impact on society and future implementation and team work etc.
