GITM Innovation cell & Department of Mechanical Engineering organized an industrial visit for final Year and third Year students to ‘Haidergarh Chini Mills” on 29th November 2022 under the flagship of IIC self driven activity.
The visit was planned to increase their exposure to practical situations. The students were enthusiastic about using their technical knowledge in the workplace. The company representatives described to the students the technical steps involved in producing sugar, including the preparation of the slurry, centrifuging, drying, and packaging of the sugar, as well as the processes used in the cane yard, mill house, boiler house, juice clarification and boiling.
In addition to visit, group also had the opportunity to learn about a 25.3 MW bagasse-based power generation system that is not typically on display.
Mr. Ashish Kumar Srivastava and Mr. Abhay Kumar Mishra successfully arranged the visit.
