The Department of Civil Engineering and GITM Innovation Cell organized a 1 day field visit to “Construction site at GITM Campus” for the students of Civil engineering branch on 25th March,2026.

The primary goal of this visit was to enhance understanding of practical aspects of civil engineering. Specific objectives included:
To witness the real-time application of structural engineering principles.
To understand the construction sequence and methods for [mention specific part: e.g., pile foundation, super-structure].
To identify construction materials (cement, steel, aggregate) and machinery (concrete mixers, excavators).
To understand site safety protocols (PPEs, scaffolding, hazard management).
Around 40 students were visited in this field visit with their faculty members. All the experts made this visit very interesting, informative and useful for the buddy engineers.
