GITM Mechanical Engineering Induction & Orientation Programme 2026

Department of Mechanical Engineering at Goel Institute of Technology and Management (GITM), Lucknow, in association with Technovators – Departmental Club, successfully organized the Induction & Orientation Programme 2026 on 1 August 2026 to warmly welcome the newly admitted students. The programme aimed to familiarize the freshers with the institute’s academic environment, departmental facilities, Centre of Excellence, innovation ecosystem, student clubs, industry collaborations, campus amenities, academic regulations, and the opportunities available for their overall academic and professional development.

The programme was graced by the esteemed presence of Dr. Rishi Asthana, Director, GITM; Dr. Devendra Agarwal, Dean Academics; Mr. S. K. Tripathi, Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering; Mr. S. N. Pandey, Head of the Department of Applied Sciences, along with all the faculty members of the Mechanical Engineering Department.

The event was further enriched by the presence of distinguished alumni Mr. Shivam Sen, Assistant Director, Directorate of Training, Vocational Education, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of Uttar Pradesh, who attended as the Chief Guest, and Ms. Anjali Singh, Senior Project Coordinator, Transline Technologies Limited and Registrar PMU, Shreeton India Limited, who graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour. Through their inspiring addresses, they shared valuable industry experiences and motivated the students to embrace innovation, develop technical skills, and strive for professional excellence.

During the orientation, students were introduced to the department’s academic curriculum, modern laboratories, research and innovation activities, Technovators Departmental Club, training and placement initiatives, entrepreneurship opportunities, professional societies, and various co-curricular and extracurricular activities. The session also provided guidance on academic policies, discipline, examination procedures, and the support systems available for students throughout their engineering journey.

The programme witnessed the enthusiastic participation of more than 100 students, who actively interacted with the dignitaries, faculty members, alumni, and senior students. The interactive sessions created an encouraging learning environment and helped the students build confidence while fostering a strong sense of belonging to the GITM family.

The programme concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks by Mr. Ashish Kumar Srivastava, who expressed gratitude to the Chief Guest, Guest of Honour, Director, Dean Academics, Heads of Departments, faculty members, organizing committee, and all participants for making the event a grand success.
