The Department of Mechanical Engineering and GITM Innovation Cell organized a one-day Industrial Visit to Ram Swaroop Cold Storage, Lucknow for Mechanical Engineering students on 10 April 2026. The visit aimed to provide practical exposure to refrigeration technology, cold storage operations, and cold chain management systems. Students observed refrigeration equipment, temperature control systems, storage facilities, and energy management practices used in modern cold storage plants. They also gained insights into sustainable storage methods, product preservation techniques, and logistics management. Industry experts explained the working principles of refrigeration systems and addressed students’ queries regarding industrial applications and maintenance practices. Around 40 students participated in the visit along with faculty members. The experts and management team of Ram Swaroop Cold Storage made the visit highly informative, interactive, and beneficial for the budding mechanical engineers, enhancing their understanding of real-world refrigeration and cold chain operations.
