The Department of Biotechnology & Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), GITM, in collaboration with CSIR–National Botanical Research Institute, successfully organized the Mission LiFE Awareness Programme & Quiz Competition under the NBRI–Environmental Information, Awareness, Capacity Building & Livelihood Programme (NBRI-EICAP), supported by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change.
The event began with a soulful Saraswati Vandana and lamp lighting ceremony, followed by insightful sessions by eminent scientists Dr. Pankaj Kumar Srivastava (Scientist ‘G’) and Dr. Anju Patel (Scientist ‘D’) from CSIR–NBRI. The programme was also graced by the esteemed Director of GITM, Dr. Rishi Asthana.
A significant highlight of the event was the pledge-taking ceremony, where Dr. Rishi Asthana, along with all faculty members and students, took a pledge to protect the environment, adopt sustainable practices, and contribute towards a greener and cleaner future.
The session emphasized the importance of environmental awareness, climate action, and sustainable development, inspiring students to become responsible citizens.
The event also featured an engaging quiz competition, where students actively participated and showcased their knowledge.
The event concluded on a high note, leaving participants motivated to contribute towards environmental sustainability.
